Laboratory tests are carried out through our international associates according to international and national guidelines and standards such as IEC, ISO, UN and CENLEC. Before the laboratory tests are carried out, preparations are made appropriate to the test method concerned. Normally, these tests take place under atmospheric but if necessary, other operating conditions can be taken into account.

Samples must be representative for the processed material. They should not be exposed to elevated temperatures before testing, as this destroys important thermal information. Samples should be safely packed for submission. Bad packages may endanger persons during transportation and also involve additional costs.

All available information on hazardous properties of the sample material should be communicated to the test laboratory. Unused sample material is returned only on special request. Otherwise it is kept for 2- 3 months and finally safely disposed.

During the test with the new test methods the substances are enclosed completely. The transfer of the sample into the test equipment or sample tubes is done under laminar flow conditions in special laboratory work stations. After the test, the substance is either burned directly inside the equipment, washed out in place or the sample tube is sent for incineration without opening
